FIRST LADY TAMMI M. BROUGHTON
First Lady Tammi M. Broughton was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She is the daughter of Deacon Jessie L. (Jr.) and Sister Gloria J. Tucker. In November 1998, Sister Broughton wed Reverend James P. Broughton III in San Jose, California and they became a blended family which includes twin daughters Dominique and Cymone.
Sister Broughton has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with a Technology Management emphasis. She travels extensively in her professional capacity and has held various financial management positions with international organizations.
Prior to joining Damascus Baptist Church, Sister Broughton served in several capacities such as Deaconess, Choir Director, and Sunday School Teacher. Since joining Damascus Baptist Church in November 2005, Sister Broughton serves as Choir Director, a Sunday School Teacher, and Co-Servant Leader of Sisters of Virtue (Women's Ministry) in addition to her demanding role as First Lady. In her role as Co-Servant Leader of Sisters of Virtue, she developed and implemented a new ministry structure that fosters inter-generational relationships among Sisters empowering them to model the truths of God's Word (based on Titus 2:1, 3-5).
First Lady Broughton understands that ministry commitments are priority. This is evidenced by her willingness to be there for others whenever she is needed. Sister Broughton also recognizes that her covenant relationships require nurturing. She faithfully serves as a helpmate to her husband and seeks to compliment the ministry that the Lord has birthed through him. |
